Some songs are meant to be played on the road. Others, in the studio. The KONGSHENG Solist is built for both.
Crafted for players who refuse to compromise, the Solist combines professional-grade materials with a warm, expressive tone that suits everything from Delta blues to Celtic folk. Whether you're a seasoned performer or a dedicated learner ready to invest in a real instrument — this is it.
Why the Solist?
- 🎵 Phosphor Bronze Reeds — Rich, responsive tone with exceptional durability. Bends come naturally, notes sing clearly.
- 🔧 Aluminum Comb — Moisture-resistant and dimensionally stable. A significant upgrade over plastic or wood, delivering a brighter, more consistent sound.
- 🛡️ Stainless Steel Cover Plates — Precision-machined for superior airtightness, smooth playability, and a premium feel in your hands.
- 🎼 15 Keys Available — From Low D to High G, every key a professional could need.
- 🔄 Standard & Paddy Richter Tuning — Two tuning options to match your playing style and musical genre.
Perfect for: Blues · Folk · Country · Rock · Celtic · Jazz
Play the music you feel. The Solist will keep up.

I chose the standard tuning on the solist. I love everything about the harp except the tuning. I love the weight of the harp. I love the look. I love the airtightness and clear notes. But I guess I am just too used to the compromised tuning of a special 20. Or perhaps I chose the wrong tuning. They had two choices. My harp said “folk” on it. Was the other tuning better for rock and blues?
Brilliant Sound “out of the Box” Very Very Easy to play no Effort at All ! Iam a session Musician And play Professional y With Many years Behind me (82 years young) Received Earlier Than Expected, About looks? = Almost “A work of Art” Very well made and professional (I do know My Harps) Have Tried Them All Over The Years and these Are up There At the Top 🤗 Early Days Yet Though,I am A Hard Player, Really hope There Are replacement Reeds,Then this is Definitely “A Winner 🥇
I haven't played it very much because it is slow in responce and not very comfortable to play. I much prefer the design of the Mars, the sweet sound of the AM20 and the responsiveness of both Mars and AM20.

I tried to learn with a SUZUKI FOLK MASTER but it was impossible. With SOLIST all the air works for sound. I am still on the very beginning but gratefully happy
